About

In the Milwaukee suburb of Menomonee Falls off Highway 45 is Redner's Rescued Cat Figurine Mewseum, a private home collection of over 3,500 cat figurines and other feline memorabilia.

Shawn Redner began collecting cat figurines in 2018, taking home whatever he could find in antique malls, rummage sales, and thrift stores. He acquired cat music boxes, cat cookie jars, cat plates, cat art—even cat-inspired furniture. Eventually, Redner's collection became substantial enough that he and his wife Hilary decided that they wanted to share it with the public, so in 2020 they opened their home one day a month where people could come visit.

After the local news picked up what they were doing, the Redners began receiving massive donations of cat figurines from people all over the country. Each donation is labeled with who and where it's from. Now their collection has about 3,500 cat items on display, with about that amount in storage as well.

Shawn and Hilary Redner are excited to show off the Mewseum to anyone who pays them a visit. Every room, wall, and space contains either cat figurines or something cat-related. They also have nine live cats complete with a custom-built outdoor enclosure to roam around.

The Mewseum takes donations at the door. All proceeds go towards local cat rescues. The Redners' goal is to eventually move everything into a larger space and open a cat cafe with the entire collection displayed.
